COVID-19 is still in the news as I write this newsletter, with a small number of people having tested positive in Brisbane and by the time you read this I hope the cluster has not spread. It does remind us all that we need to stay diligent in our social distancing and as well as our hygiene. We do ask all owners and clients who enter our business to abide by our rules and that does mean using the hand sanitizer as you enter the building, as well as when you leave, and please maintain your distance between members of the public and staff whilst you are in the building. Owners who enter the consultation rooms will be asked to sit away from the consultation table and allow our staff to do their job in assisting you and your animal. We are fortunate to have a big building and an open area at the front of the building where owners can self-distance and that means that we do not need to do “carpark consultations”. It will take a number of months (if not years) for a vaccine to become available and until that time we are going to abide by all the rules and regulations put out by the Health Department and hopefully we can all look back on 2020 as the “Year of COVID” and we can tell our grandchildren or great grandchildren what we had to do to survive.
